Melinda Syvertsen, Database Administrator

I am Melinda, and some call me the “Data Diva”!  I have been at Cornerstone for over 13 years, and it has been my blessing and honor to serve and grow with the many people who have attended.  I have a great passion to pray for the people of Cornerstone and for the church.  As the Database Administrator, I try really hard to collect all kinds of data about the people who attend our church and organize it in our database for the various ministries at Cornerstone.  This is a big part of how we know who we are reaching – so fill out those cards!

Interests and Favorites

• Places:  I love just being home with my family- and some rare alone time, too!  My favorite place in the world besides home is definitely Disneyworld!  And the Spiderman ride at Universal. And Ashley’s Ice Cream in Madison!
• What's on your iPod:  Like, totally the 80’s!  Def Leppard, Journey, Chris Tomlin, Hillsongs… Just got over a big Rick Springfield must-hear on my way to get the kids visiting with my dad at the Cape.  Hahaha….
• Books: Romans 12 last week, Isaiah 54 this week….  The Road God Walks by Germaine Copeland and The New Wine is Better by Robert Thom.  Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett (can’t even believe I read the whole thing!)  My son wants me to read The Five People You Meet in Heaven.
• What do you TiVo:  Big Brother, Survivor- whatever Chris TiVo’s!
• Favorite Food:  ICE CREAM
• Sports Teams: What’s a sports team? – Except I will never forget the year that the USA beat the Russians in the Olympic Ice Hockey game for the Gold- I went to school with Brian Leetch, you know!
• Movies: Grease, To Kill A Mockingbird.
• Hobbies: Gardening, reading, scrapping, Girl Scouts… is cleaning the house a hobby when you have three kids?
• Dislikes: People who interrupt.  Big time.
• Life Scripture: I have two… Jeremiah 29:11-14  For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
