Deb Kutz, Connection Pastor

Hi, I am Deb Kutz and I am the Connection Pastor at Cornerstone.  I share Pastor Chris’ vision to see relationships strengthened with our Father God and each other through Jesus Christ.   I am  responsible for all areas of the Welcome Ministry which connects our guests with the members and ministries of the church and I assist Pastor Dave in the Pastoral Care Ministries.  I also lead a discipleship ministry called “Life Coaching” which helps new believers to grow in Jesus and follow Him.  What really excites me is soul winning, making disciples and helping people to experience total freedom, victory and wholeness in Jesus Christ.  I also have a passion to pray for others and the Church.

• Family:  My greatest blessing is my family.   I am married to a wonderful man, Gary who also gives of his free time to help in various church ministries.  God has also given me two awesome kids who are now young adults in their 20’s -- my son, Mark and my daughter Erin.
• Places:  I love the beaches at Long Beach Island, New Jersey, Westerly, Rhode Island and Cape Cod.  I have traveled the whole the east coast of the U.S. and a few of the islands.  I have a dream to travel more extensively in the future.  For now, I love to visit my favorite east coast cities – NYC, Boston, Washington, D.C.  & Philadelphia.
• What's on your iPod: contemporary praise music, Motown, Jazz, Show Tunes, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, various 60’s & 70’s soft classic rock.
• Books: The Bible, mysteries, epic novels, Christian help books, devotionals
• What do you TiVo: not much, sometimes Christian preachers, various crime dramas and movies.
• Favorite Food: Modern American Cuisine, Italian, Cajun, Thai.
• Sports Teams:  Not an avid sports fan but I  like the NY Mets, Boston Red Sox, NY Giants and the Washington Redskins.
• Movies: Old movies, musicals, epic films, romance and adventure. . . Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Notebook, Wizard of Oz,  the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.
• Hobbies: Walking, body surfing in the ocean, gardening, reading and cooking.
• Dislikes:  Liver, lima beans, extremely cold weather, complainers.
• Life Scriptures: Jn.13:34, 35. . . “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  Ephesians 3:16-21. . .  “that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that you may be filled with the fullness of God.  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.
